QOTD Tuesday, 10/3

OK, yesterday seemed like a hard one. How about Have you ever fantasized about meeting someone? For me it would have to be Nancy McKean, but when she played Jo on Facts of Life. I used to daydream about her all the time. Who do you fantasize about meeting? Rachelle

Good question, it would have to be Queen Latifah. When she was in SET IT OFF I was just blown away.

Who do you fantasize about meeting? Oprah... Why Oprah you ask? Well Oprah came from nothing, made something of herself, then decided consciously that she was not going to let herself get too far off the ground, so to speak. She has a passion for other, not just those less fortunate than herself. And she is really trying her hardest to help make a difference not only in Africa with AIDS but by empowering women, an untapped and oppressed resource in their culture, who will most likely in turn solve several of their problems as they grow up because they will be educated well. Maybe even the AIDS crisis... I have said this a million times, I would trade two years vacation (that is six weeks for me) to spend three weeks with Oprah in Africa... I think it would change my life completely.

I met Oprah in 2001 and she wasn't very friendly towards me. I have a nice photo, though.

Jessye Norman. She's an opera singer and there's something about her that I think would cause me to literally melt on the spot if I met her.

Rachelle, you have got the board shakin' with the question of the day!! I have actually met Sandra Bullock (parts of Miss Congeniality were filmed at my previous place of employment). Celebrities are just normal people like us. I would LOVE to meet Oprah. She is someone who has done a lot of good with her fortune and fame. Rosie O'Donnel, too. But I would love to meet Melissa Etheridge just for the dreaminess factor. XOXOXO, Sharyn
