Dr. is on board

I posted this on another board, so if you read it twice, my apologies. I was searching for a new PCP and decided to actively seek out someone who has experience dealing with WLS patients. I had my first appt. with him on Friday and I liked him very much. After about an hour of getting history and talking about me and checking out a few things, he thinks that I am a perfect candidate for WLS. We started on my supervised diet...so I just took my first step on this new journey. I figure in about 3 months I'll start with the Psych Eval. WooHoo!! I'm so excited to finally get started again. What an excellent outlook to have. It always bugs me when people gripe about doing the 6mos diet before they can get insurance approval. You are on the right track already just in how you perceive everything. Good luck!

Thanks Kelly. Things are so much easier if you look at them in a positive note...and that's how I try to live my life (doesn't always work). I need to get myself in the best possible shape to go through surgery. I even have to accept that my cardiologist may make me wait longer than the 6 months. Rachelle
