I have compiled over 300 diabetic and sugar free recipes that I have been asked to publish. I am considering it... The cost per book would be about $17.00. Is that too much for a cookbook? Would people buy it at price? Any opinions would be appreciated... I really don't know whether to risk it or not... THANKS FOR THE INPUT!!!

Personally, I wouldn't pay $17 for the recipes unless they were originals and kitchen-tested and dietitian approved. I'd probably pay $10 though. However, I am a cookbook editor by profession. : ) I guess I might be a little jaded. The thing is, there are a lot of resources online to amass mediocre recipes. Now if your recipes were originals, were unique in some way (every one was under XX calories, XX carbs, etc.), you might have a fighting chance. Also, if you're doing a cookbook on this topic, I'd highly recommend running nutritionals on all the recipes so they are correct and then including them. If they are diabetic, include the exchanges. If you can't verify them, don't include any and don't claim "diabetic" because someone could make something and get really sick if your nutritionals are off and they assumed they were correct. Also, if you AREN'T professionally testing the recipes before compiling them, make sure to be very clear about how they were compiled, who they came from, etc. If you have questions about it, feel free to email me. Sorry for the info overload. Jen
