Weekly update
Well, now that I'm back home and into routine it's back to the rather slow weight loss. I weighed 171 this morning - down just two pounds from last week. I guess I'd better change up something -- my exercise routine, my eating, whatever. This is supposed to be my honeymoon period and I'm not losing very quickly. I'm also disappointed that I'm not seeing much effect on my diabetes. I was hoping to get off insuling, but that doesn't seem to be happening.
Sheryl,
I think that 171 is great, I could only wish to weigh that much. I am still in the 200's. I did my weigh in on Monday and I am down to 245, I guess considering I am use to weigh 353lbs only six months ago I should be happy. I am thankful for this surgery.
Have you tried to up your protein? I know a lot of people say it a lot, but it really does hope. I hope things get better with your diabetes.

Hi Sheryl
I'm currently 294 lbs. I have to say I am happy with that weight considering I use to be 450 lbs. and then 388 lbs. the day of surgery. My weight loss is pretty consistant. I loose between 3- 5 lbs. a week. I have noticed that the weeks I eat more, I loose more. Thats a challenge for me. Most days I have to make myself eat. I wish I could inject protein inside a SF popsicle. Like Melissa said.. Try getting more protein. For me it helps. I think your doing a great job!! Hopefully your diabetes will be effected by your weight loss and go away soon.

The past couple weeks I have consistently lost about 3.5 lbs each week. I'll take whatever I get. At nine weeks out, I have lost 40 lbs since surgery and 54 lbs since my highest weight. I can't complain. I've been trying to increase my exercise and move about more. It's really hard since I work third shift. Makes me tired all of the time.
