newbie here... an intro :)

Hi all... I'm Erin, a queer, partnered, 28 yo, femme momma of one. I've recently asked my PCP to refer me to my local Bariactric Surgery Center so I can begin my WLS journey. I'm crossing my fingers that it's an uneventful and swift one. At 5'4'' I weigh around 270-275 (depends on when I weigh myself...), and unlike most, I haven't really obsessed over my weight for years and years. I'm pretty avoidant. :P Over the past few years, though, I've realized that I'm pretty unhappy with how I feel and look -- and I'm tired of being tired -- especially now that I'm a mom to a VERY, VERY active toddler. That's me. Well, that's me in brief, anyway. I look forward to getting to know you all! xo Erin

Welcome, Erin. I'm Sharyn. I'm 42, been with my partner for 16 years. We have a beautiful daughter who just turned 7. My partner, Janet gave birth to her. We both had Lap RNY in 2004 and have been at goal since around December 0f 2005. I have been on both sides of the fence and to be totally honest I haven't figured out exactly where I am, but 99% positive where I want to be just haven't found the 1. Welcome, Erin. My name is Rhonda. I just turned 42 and had the surgery about 7 weeks ago. I've been with my partner (also named Erin) for almost 8 years. She also had the surgery in December. It really is nice that the both of us had the surgery done. It is very helpful that we both are going through the same stuff around the same time.
