Thanks guys - I'm inspired and moving forward

Thanks to all you guys (and the women too) that responded to my prior post. I really appreciate the connections and feel even more inspired. Got my PCP's referral letter today so my entire application package is ready to go to UCSF. Keeping my fingers crossed that they won't take forever to review it. Oh yeah, and I can't wait until the day I "fit" in things again - had to do a pulmonary function test today and all the classic embarrassments prevailed - the scale only went to 350 but they insisted we try (despite the fact I told them I'm at least 390)... and then they tried to squish me into this closing circular booth - uh huh... was clear to see that wasn't gonna happen but she had to try anyways. Grrrrrr.... I really don't want to deal with that stuff anymore! Thanks again, Steve

Steve, Glad to hear that all of your information is ready to be sent into your insurance company. That really is one of the biggest steps. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, that everything works out well. Melissa

Thanks for the thoughts Melissa - unfortunately this whole process is just to get UCSF to decide if they will see me for a 1st consult!! And since they are the Center of Expertise for my insurance company I'm required to go there. I'm optimistic though and hopefully it won't take too long to move forward. Steve
