I have a DATE! (pending insurance approval)

I went to have a follow up with Dr. Schirmer today and walked out of there with the exact date I wanted for my surgery. I was dumbfounded, excited, thrilled, scared and mostly almost too afraid to really have hope that this could happen for me. So if insurance approval goes through - I will be having surgery on June 23rd, 2006 at UVa.

Okay now I just need some prayers that Martha Jefferson's insurance is going to say yes. Hugs to all, Andrea

Congrats Andrea!!! I am sure the insurance will come through for you. It is so awesome that you were able to get a date so soon. I was approved this week, but I have to have all sorts of tests before I can get a date. I would love to be geting surgery right around the time you are planning yours. Good luck! Hey Sierra! Congratulations on your approval! Maybe we'll be surgery buddies - that would really be cool! Today they told me I would have to come back twice more. Once for an endoscopy and then the day before surgery for a gallbladder ultrasound and blood gasses and of course to sign all the paperwork. Congrats on getting a surgery date. Think positive that your approval will come through. I willsay some prayers for you. You tentative date is the same day as my mom's birthday so it is a good day. Best wishes
