Hey everyone, i am officially 3 weeks post op today. i am down 24 1/2 pounds, and i feel ok. sometimes i feel really thirsty, and i am tired of water and crystal lite, i bought some decaf tea today, so i will try that. I can't really stand the taste of alot of different things, anything sweet really. like the fruit flavored waters.. yuck! can't stand them. does anyone else know what is good to drink?

Tammy, I remember struggling with drinking at your stage... and for some reason warm things got down easier then cold ones...I drunk all kinds of herbal teas..... Calmomile, Peppermint,Rasberry, Cranberry.... whatever you prefer.... just brew it and rest it a little bit so it's not scolding hot... best wishes with your recovery and weightloss, Rita RNY Lap 08/08/05 5'7'' 255/193/160'sh-150'sh

I am 3 weeks out too! I get nauseated at the thought of sweet things to eat or drink. I have lost about 28 lbs. My doctor keeps preaching yogurt, which is sweet. I just cannot stomache it. I am usually not a water drinker but that is all I can stand. I am glad it's not just me with the sweets thing though. I was beginning to think it was psychosomatic.
