I AM FRIGHTENED!

I have been having tests to submitto medicaid and Medicare for wls.As a result of these tests I found out today that I have mild congestive heart failure.I AM AFRAID.

Bless your heart Rosa, I know very little about congestive heart failure but be sure you go with a surgeon who is VERY conservative and cautious. If you have any sort of problem going into this you need the best that is out there. My prayers are with you. Don't be scared read all you can on this and talk to your heart doctor about what yhour next step to be and take control of the situation. Thanks Lori, Iguess I AM JUST SHOCKED TO MY SHOES!I am going to still work to get clearence from the heart doc to have WLS. Weight loss would certainly lessen the strain I have foolishly put on my poor ticker.Thanks for your reply.It makes me feel less alone!

I am sorry to hear this - but having the surgery to lose the weight will certainly help your heart. My mother passed away from CHF as she was quite big my entire child hood. It's also a reason I had the surgery to lessen the chances of it for me. I do know the strain obesity can put on your body. I will keep you and your family in my prayers through your journey! Hi Rosa, I know getting these results are scary... I'm sorry you are going through this. But, just think, if you had not thought of taking this step, you may not have found out about this until it was too late. THank goodness for the tests they have you going through, and now you can take preventative measures. I hope everything works out wonderfully for you! Tami
