less than 24 hours....
Heather,
Be sure to take bedroom slippers, brush and chapstick. The bedroom slippers are for when you are walking the halls, the brush for getting rid of the bed head effect from sleeping alot, and the chapstick for at least trying to make your lips feel better until you have the leak test. I stayed in my hospital gown the entire time until I was discharged, so I would not take any night gowns. Good luck and hope this helps!!! See ya on the losing side!!

Less is better. I suggest one or two favorite pillows, lotion, chapstick, tookbruth/toothpaste, brush/comb, thick warm socks with nonskid soles and *maybe* a book or magazine.
Don't bother bringing any clothes really; just wear the gowns they give you - they are plenty big! Just wear 2 at a time - one front to back and one back to front like a robe. You will be spending most of your time sleeping and they have a tv to watch (to put you back to sleep lol).
Feel free to read my profile I pretty much walk through my surgery experience!

Good luck Heather!!
I packed way too much, I stayed in the hospital gown the entire time. The hospital provided a light weight robe which was nice. Important things to have: chapstick and slippers. I read a little of my book and watched a dvd (I brought my lap top) but mostly slept, walked or zoned to the tv.
See you on the other side!
Hugs,
Beth
