One week plastic surgery update

OK y'all! Had my one week plastic/reconstructive surgery appointment. Good news! The arm drains came out! I had about a foot of tubing inside each arm. Next week my 2 groin drains come out. I'm very scared! I can now wear regular tops, except that I'm still in a binder and still have the bottom drains, so my regular regular shirts don't look good, so I'm stuck wearing oversized sweatshirts. I can only wear stretchy pants atm too! She took the bandages off my boobs. I was tickled to see 2 small pink nipples. Mine used to be big, so I'm EXCITED that I have regular cute nipples now. She put the bandages back on, so no pics of those! Soooo...remember how she pulled my skin all tight? I can't shave my armpits b/c of my arm scar going in to my armpits, and the whole area is numb, so they said no shaving. Well, I'm officially a freak and now need to get in line for electrolosis. Why? Well, apparantly part of my old underarms is now part of my boobs. Nuff said. Just a small part. I'm half grossed out and half fascinated lol. My arms look GREAT! She took my bikini scar tape off from hip to hip. Got a good look at it. Let me just brag that I'm a good scar healer-knock on wood! No signs of keloiding. Besides a little swelling, no one would ever tell that I had eye surgery. I should be able to wear contacs again in a week. Apparently those stiches are half dissolved already. The only odd thing is I'm really out of proportion. I now have an exaggarated hour glass figure. My waist is small compared to my humongo hips. Maybe I'll get my hips lipo'd when I get my tummy reconstruction and thigh lift done. More news later!

okay - weird that your armpits are now on your breasts.....did she tell you that you'd have to have electrolosis? More "Good news"to look forward to when/if I get my arms and boobs done..... Maybe I'll get them done in two different surgeries...LOL. I can't wait to see your pictures....I bet you look great! I hope I wind up with an exaggerated hour glass figure.....but I doubt is because I'm short waisted. My luck I'll wind up looking like a boy! *yes - I've had the nightmares about this...can you tell? I'd be willing to be that your waist looks smaller because of your bewbies rather than because of your hips....LOL Thanks for sharing - but one question....why are you scared of the groin drains coming out? Did the arm one's hurt? You're being my guinea pig - you know that right?!?! LOL - since we're so close in plastic (at least tummy tuck) surgeries!!! Much Dee Dee

I'm scared of the groin drains because my right groin drain every once in a while sends these shooting pains to my hoo hoo area. Debbie the PA said that it's normal and it's just scar tissue. She also said I'm short waisted, so this hour glass this can happen to you lol. I need to get out a tape measure and measure my stomach and hips. Nooo, I have a lot of fat on my hips. I'll probably get them lipo'd on my next round. I went to old navy to try to find a sweater or something to cover up my drains. What a disaster. I tried on a few sweaters that were XL (I wear a large) and they looked terrible. My hips looked huge too lol. I've just resolved for a few weeks I'm going to be wearing yoga pants and an oversized sweatshirt. I have to wear this sports bra for another 5 weeks too
