I usually post on the SC board, but I wanted to post on the GA one too. I need all the support I can get. I am 3 weeks post op and I am down 24 lbs. I think I am doing well. I have been getting about 50-75g of protein a day and getting enough water in, but today I start eating real pureed food. I had a scrambled egg for lunch and it was sooo good. I am not real sure about my intake amount. I really don't think I am eating enough even though I feel full, and was wondering if someone could give me some advice about how many calories, carbs, etc. I should be taking in. Thanks and Merry Chrsitmas, Carla

As a new post op your nerves in the new tummy are VERY sensitive. You will get the "full" feeling faster - but you also will empty out faster as well. This is quite normal. Continue to concentrate on getting in the protein and water you need. You will find what you eat will increase a little at a time over the next several weeks as you continue to progress into more and more foods. Congrats on the weight loss - GREAT JOB!!!! I also wanted to mention how pretty you are!!! Welcome to the Georgia board.....I might be partial - but I think we're the friendlies group of folks around!!! Much Dee Dee 350/165/145 (hoping after the TT next week!!! )

Carla ... I was taking in 2-4 oz when I started "real" food again.....Get a scale for the first few months.. your eyes will be alarmingly to big.. You will thank your self for getting one.... Take your vitamins, and protien ... focus on that... your eating will get better as the months go by...... Carbs, I stay away from them, period. My shakes are less than 5, and I meal I keep them under 10 ( well I havent been an angel this week!....@###!). Good luck, I cant wait to see what you look like in 6 months, your so pretty!
