9 DAYS TO GO :-)

HELLO ALL 9 DAYS TIL MY WLS SO I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS ANY LAST MINUTE ADVICE I HAVE PROTEIN DRINKS ALREADY AS MY DR HAD ME ON THOSE AS A MEAL REPLACEMENT FOR MONTHS GOT BROTH SF PUDDING AND JELLO CHEWABLE AND LIQUID VITAMINS AND CHAPSTICK SO HELP LOVE CANDY

When I had my surgery, I took nightgowns to change in to, but ended up just staying in the hospital gown...If they are going to use the air bags on your legs or feet, be sure to take socks...Also, some slippers for when you are walking the halls. Be sure to take the chapstick with you to the hospital. Good luck on the surgery, and hope that all goes well. Norma

Bring lotion and your own pillow or pillows too. You will spend a lot of time sleeping so no need to bring books or crossword puzzles stuff. Congrats! Also dunno who will be there helping you, but if you are solo, you will need some way to wipe your backside when you go potty. Trust me you won't be in the mood to bend over much lol. Kia

Hey Candy Girl... You be doin good, I was glad I brought a book.. but hey.. I ended up staying 8 days in stead of 3... and I lived so stinkin far away I was probably OVER prepared... as we talk bout before... and your already for... chap stick...chap stick... chap stick... Good Girl... lol I will say a prayer for you... you fight the good fight... you will do great... ICU will be AWESOME... the surgery floor... well that is another story... you DON'T BE AFRAID TO SAY WHAT IS ON YOUR MIND AND REPEAT YOURSELF to get what you want/need from the Rent a Nurse's they put in there.... But Doc will be there everday.... if not twice a day.... and he makes sure your good... and make sure you got the office # cause if you need too... DO NOT BE AFRAID TO CALL DONNA OR dem.. cuz ... they are DA BEST... and will take Good care of you and get you what you need... Shannon too... infact when I feel bad... one of my comfort/getwell foods/drink is gatorade... the hospital didn't have it/carry it.. That man is awesome... he went out and bought some with his own money for me... and it just appeared on my tray... Oh yeah.... ifyou have a laptop... you can take it... it is better if family can bring it after your awake.. Heck I had mine in ICU even... Granted.... I am like ADHD... so I tend to need to multi-task.... and everyone was amazed that I was on the laptop... but if you look in my profile..you will see were I was updating and posting during that time... some funny stuff... Candy, Wanda (my HS friend) just called me, and I told her about you having your surgery on the 27th...I did give her your name...anyways, she is going to be on the lookout for you in recovery...hope that everything goes well, and that there are no complications and all that other fun stuff...take care and post when you get back home, okay...
