Thought I was approved!!!!!!!!!

I called the insurance company and they said I was approved. Then I called Tracy and she said not for the Gastric Bypass. So I called the insurance company and they said it was still peding, but the upper Gi and the hospital and everything else is approved except the actual surgery. How can that be? Every thing approved except that. I was jumping up and down until I called Tracy and she said she would call back, but I have heard nothing, and no voicemail either. Heather

They are probably still working on it. I am sure it was in the middle of being approved. If they approved everything else it will be approved soon. Congrats, you will probably hear from them tomorrow!!! Susan

Heather, Keep calling. If you cant get ahold of Tracey, call Lolita. Most people call Tracey and she gets sooo bombarded. If you do not hear anything from her by 11am, call Lolita. Heather don't give up! I agree i think they are still working on it.and you just inquired during the process. Keep on Tracy and Lolita they are great and will find out what is going on but ya have to be persistant sometimes. keep me posted on how things are going ok and (((hugs))) i know this is frustrating. sandy

Hi Heather, I think as Kimberly said I did all my contact with the insurance Coordinator. It was with Lolita her number is 404-265-6489. She always returned my phone calls. It might be a day later but she was great. I understand how excited you are. I also know how many patients they have so there trying to help each one of us . Heather, it took me 2 weeks to get approved by medicaid! i called Dr. Hixon's office everyday for 2 weeks to see if i was approved. i was so impatient also. But i am having my surgery 12-27! yoohoooi am soo happy/scared.... if you have your surgery while i am out of work recovering i will be more than happy to go with you to the hospital.
