AETNA- BEFORE 12/31/05

I sent everything to Aetna on November 4, 2005 all 88 pages of it. BMI 50, no co-morbalities. I followed everything to the T though, 6 months Doctor supervised, all the Psycho & Nutritional stuff. My insurance company is changing on 1/1/06 to BCBS. If I don't get an approval letter from Aetna by the end of the year I have to start all over again with BCBS if my company decides to carry the bariatric rider. Here it is December 9th and nothing yet. I called the Aetna nurse assigned to my case (begged my Bariatric coordinator for the number) and she said it was with the director being reviewed, and you can't talk to that person. They have stalled twice by asking for things they already had i.e. weight in 2000 and letter of medical necessity which were both included in the 88 pages they received. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm getting desperate. I have basically 9 more business days left.
