Anyone here use Dr. Champion?

Has anyone here used Dr. Champion? If so, please share you experiences - good or bad. Thanks!

Hi Dell, You might not find many of Dr. Champion's patients on this board. He has his own support board on yahoo groups. Try going to his website for a link or call his office. He was my first choice of surgeons and has a great reputation. I've only heard good things about him and his office staff and the support system he has set up but he does have quite a long waiting list for surgery. A new bariatric center began in my city by the time my insurance covered wls so I stayed in town rather than going to Atlanta. Sandy

Believe it or not I have responded to this twice already but it just doesn't want to show up! I am going through Dr. Champions office now and so far everything has been fabulous. Dr. Champion is very straight forward and easy-going guy. His office staff is the best, they get back to you within a day and keep on top of the insurance companies. If you haven't gone yet I recommend going to one of their monthly informational meetings. Beth

I'll rely on you to come back and tell me any concerns you had! lol ... I've been to one of Dr. Champion's informational meetings a couple of months ago, and was planning to go tonight, but they aren't having the meeting this month. I'm definitely planning to go to the one next month. Maybe we'll meet there soon. Thanks again!
