Have you ever had one of those days where you want to cry all day? I am a relatively upbeat person but I have just about had it! I was in the hospital in early November. I spent several days in the cardio unit at Kennestone. I had an Asthma attack that has left my right lung functioning on diminished capacity and I got asevere respiratory infection on top of that( from my neighbor in my @^%$ semi private room!!) Bless her heart she was sooo sick!! I never got the infection as bad as what she seemed to have but my chest is still sore. Well I have spent the last two days with a migraine(I spend alot of my time with a horrid headache). My precious little girl came in my room tonight and I was doing some shopping on the internet aand so I asked her why she hadn't mentioned anything she would want for christmas? She is 5. She said that all she wanted was for me to feel better and to sleep every night in my bed with me(how much does an entire toys r' us cost these days?) It broke my heart. I feel like that is all she sees is me feeling bad all the time. I am scared I am spoiling my girls childhood by being sick alot with headaches etc., my other little girl is 3. I am also pi$$ed at my husband he wouldn't let her sleep in here. I know they need to sleep in their own beds but I love having them in here but I didn't wanna fight with him! That is o.k. he sleeps like a log I will just go get em when he starts snoring LOL I just am so ready to have this surgery and I am sick of waiting!! I feel like I am spinning my wheels and it is never gonna happen! Did any of you take forever to get approved and did it feel like you were waiting to start living? Thanks in advance for your support you guys are great!! Lorie B.

Lorie, Sorry to hear that you were sick. I got my flu shot last week and seem to be coming down with something myself. I know it seems like it takes FOREVER to get through the approval process, but you will get there soon! Try not to think about it and enjoy the holidays with your girls, and hey, I still crawl in the bed with my girls after my hubby is sound asleep and snoring like crazy, who cares what your suppose to do, they are only going to be little for awhile. Take Care! Rachel

Hey Rachel, You are right! They are only little for awhile and he can go suck an egg! LOL I hope you didn't come down with something from your flu shot. I think not thinking about it right now is the way to deal with it. I am just trying to make Christmas fun for them!! Thanks for your encouraging words, Lorie

I understand what it is you feel. I know that feeling of having HORRIBLE migraines. I suffered from them teribly prior to surgery. I pray that your approval goes through quickly. Spend the time enjoying your kids...and your family.....I know for me - my niece and nephew are my life lines. I'm sorry to hear about being in the Hospital. I know that stay can be bothersome. I hope things get better for you soon. God Bless Much Dee Dee

Lorie, I'm sorry to hear that you were sick...I never had to deal with Asthma myself I know what it's like to have frequent headaches..but I will tell you that they are probably10 times less frequent now compare to what they were before surgery even though I was totally convinced that my headaches had nothing to do with my weight, getting the weight down made a huge difference. So there is a hope... As for kids sleeping in your bed.....My hubby objects too, but I still let my baby in sometimes and let him object all he wants (I never did it with my older one). Anyway, I hope you feel better, and I'm sure your health will improve once you 've had the WLS. Good luck, Rita.

Thanks Rita, It is good to know that the headaches might be better after surgery. I know my weight contributes to my headaches but I hate to say that out loud to anyone. I never let my younger daughter sleep with us but my older one is the problem so to speak she hates bedtime and it breaks my heart because she is really scared an my husband thinks she is just trying to pitch a fit to get her way. Well yeah she is scared of course she is! Thanks for the reply Lorie

Lorie, Wow I am so sorry you have had a bad day I hope today finds you in better sprits and health. I know where you are coming from being in the hospital It is so hard to manage a family from a hospital bed. I also understand about the bed issue. I have my 7 year old who still sleeps with me. Since my husband works six nights aweek he has always slept by me. And just the other night he complains about him being in there. I got in a arguement with him. But I guess the night he is home he can stay with his brother and the other nights he can be with me. It is a sense of comfort I think for him and me . He is very bad at sleep walking and like I was when I was till I was around 20 I even left my house I was even found one night out in our field on our farm. So I am so scared he will end up out of his bed and no telling where. So I feel if he is beside me I can notice when he leaves or walks. So Anyway I just had to tell you your story is in line with me. I hope you have a great day and weekend...Beth
