Approval - but can't do it!

I wanted to let everyone know I got my approval on the PS for the TT - but I don't have the money to meet the 20% that I have to pay out of my pocket so I am not able to have my Tummy Tuck at this time. I guess I'm going to have to save some money up and try again next year. I've gotten mixed answers as to wether or not Aetna will approve the PS - but I'm going to give it the old college try and see if it will happen. Oh well....it wasn't meant to happen right now for me. (If any of you have some strings to pull at my Dr's office and can convince them to let me make payemnts I can have it all paid off by the end of January...) Anyway - thought I'd share my good/not so good news! Dee Dee

Aww Dee Dee Im sorry, but I can relate. My insurance will not cover my WLS (im a state employee and they dont see it fit to cover it). I hope things will be better for you in the new year! Huggs Kristin

Dee Dee-how much does the 20% come out to? Do you have a credit card it can go on? I'd hate to see you not get the TT! What did they say when you told them you would have all payments by end of January? I would have assumed that Drs offices have credit programs they could put you through. Did you talk with Tamika about it?

I haven't yet talked to the office manager. I did talk to Roberta and she said they may be able to offer me something but that I would have to talk to the office manager (I forget her name right this moment). I don't know exactly how much it's going to come out to......I'm figuring right now about a grand and with the holidays I just can't afford to swing that right now. I know with my Tax refund I will be able to pay it completely - but that won't come in till at the soonest late January. And by then I'll have the new insurance....... I also know with my credit (and just trust me on this) I can't get financing ANYwhere. Some have suggested that I pull it out of my 401 K but I'm only just now eligible for it at my job (you have to be there MORE than 2 years to have it available to you.....UGH). Right now I'm beliving that if it's meant to happen the good Lord will provide a way for me to have it happen. I'm not going to let this stop me - even if I have to start over next year with the new insurance. Who knows - the new insurance may cover more than what I have now! Thanks for the support.....what's meant to happen will work out in the end! Much Dee Dee
