Hernia Repair/Tummy Tuck

Help please! I have Humana HMO I am looking to have my hernia repaired and a Tummy Tuck.... I live in Marietta and will travel, any suggestions on a good surgeon that does both??? The ones I have called from my the list I printed on my insurance web page said they did not do hernia repair................isn't there a surgeon that does both?? Is a Tummy Tuck strictly cosmetic??

On Nov. 1, 2005, I had a ventral hernia repair and lower body lift. The hernia was NOT a result of my RNY. I had the hernia for many years before my RNY. My bariatric surgeon, Dr. John Daly 404-252-0433, did my hernia repair because it had become complicated with incarcerated and strangulated tissue. Dr. Sheldon Lincenberg, 770-730-8222, http://gaplasticsurg.com/, performed my lower body lift. Both Dr. Daly and Dr. Lincenberg would have been agreeable with Dr. Lincenberg performing the hernia repair as well as the plastic surgery had it been a simple hernia without incacerated or strangulated tissue, but they and I felt it was better to have Dr. Daly there since the hernia was complicated. You may want to give Dr. Lincenberg a call. He has performed hernia repairs along with plastic surgery in the past. I highly recommend him. By the way, Dr. Daly and Dr. Lincenberg worked together to perform my surgeries at the same time. I was in surgery about 7 1/2 hours. Dr. Lincenberg opened me up. Then Dr. Daly fixed my hernia and Dr. Lincenberg finished the plastic surgery. Everything has gone very well for me. I am very happy with my choice of surgeons. Thank you Curtis, I will check into that, I did find a surgeon that accepted my insurance but have not consulted with her yet. Dr. Grace Ma, Peachtree Plastic Surgery. I will shop around. I will also need to find a new bariatric surgeon for my follow-up care since Dr. Scarborough won't be practicing at Emory Adventist after 12/17/2005.
