For those that have had plastic surgery...
How was your recovery? I need some insight/advise.
I'm getting a buttload of stuff done on December 13th-right around the corner...
List of procedures:
Panniculectomy
Thigh Lift
Brachioplasty
Breast Lift
Lower Eyelids
Am I going to be able to lie in a flat bed after all this?
For those of you that did your thighs-can you tell me about your healing process. Dr. said that recovery on thighs are ROUGH!!! I'll be one sore beeeyotch lol-all worth it to me!
Anyone get their thighs approved by insurance?
-Thanks!
Sherry
Have you gotten any of your approved by insurance? I'm hoping to have mine approved shortly and my procedures done as quickly as possible.
I've heard it's rough to go through so many procedures at once - but realize you will have LESS recovery because you'll only have to go through one procedure.
Let me know how it is!

I know my insurance is changing the first of the year so I'm going to have to start over with them for any of my other procedures....but I'm going to try to have the breast lift and thighs done under insurance - but they will take a bit more work on my part (I'm sure of it) but I'm determined to have it done.
Do you mind telling me how you got your BL approved and what surgeon you used? (You can e-mail me privately at [email protected] if it's easier)
Good luck with your surgeries - you'll have to post some pictures when you're done so we can celebrate your outcome with you!
Much

You might want to look at a yahoo group that was formed for folks in the Atlanta area having plastic surgery after weight loss. Many of the people there have used Dr Ashraff as their surgeon. The group name is WLSandPlasticSurgery.
When I had my ps consult for thigh plasty I was told it was one of the toughest surgeries, hurts the worst, and the one that can have the most/worst complications. Usually infections and pulled stitches. I did get approval for the thighplasty but after being diagnosed with lymphedema have not been able to have it done. I have BCBS HMO.
Good luck!
