What happens at pre-pre-op?
Basically they weigh you. I didn't have my EKG done, so they did that, then someone else, in my case Shannon, comes in and tells you how much weight you have to lose before pre op. They will tell you what other clearances you might need to get done before surgery. Then you are are supposed to meet with someone, probably Yakima, that will give you a surgery date, pre op date and complications class date. If you have anymore questions feel free to email me. I had my surgery almost three weeks ago and am doing great. Susan
I was just wondering after they weigh you, do they really tell you that your surgery will be cancelled if the required weighloss is not met?
I gained about 10 extra pounds since August.
I have been drinking alot of water and drinking 2 to 3 protein drinks for about 7 days now.
How long were you there?
Jackie

I had gained 5 pounds, but before I got to that appt was able to lose it plus about 3 more. So keep working on it, sounds like you are doing good now. They ended up telling me I needed to lose 12 pounds before pre-op. They will tell you what you need to lose. I only ended up losing 4 1/2 of the original 10 they told me to, but I was not cancelled. They just want you to have the weight off by the pre-op appt. Susan
I was told to lose 5 pounds, but after dealing with those dang insurance companies
: I gained 10 extra pounds (no excuse).
I have been drinking alot of water and protein drinks for about 7 days. I also started walking up the hill on my street. I just hope they don't turn me down.
:
Congratulations on your weightloss!
Jackie
