December Gathering-Attending?
December Gathering-Attending?
Good morning, everyone. I hope everyone is doing well. Judy and I would like to ask everyone to please reply and let us know if you will be attending the gathering on Saturday, 12/3 at 1:30pm in McDonough, GA (about 20 minutes South of Atlanta)? If so, please let us know how many guests you will be bringing and how many children. I know some of you mentioned you might be coming. Remember to bring your favorite recipe along with a recipe card that we can share.
Also, I wanted to remind everyone to bring a gift for the gift swap. This needs to be a gift of a $10 value and some kind of Holiday theme...like an ornament or something you would like to receive. This isn't "white elephant" where it is a gag gift. Please remember that there will be men there. If you don't want to participate in the swap, that is fine...still come...just don't bring a gift.
We really hope to see a lot of you guys there. Remember...there is an outlet mall just a few exits south of where we are meeting...so you can do your shopping after the luncheon.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Hi, Samantha...I tried to reply earlier, but I got an error message...the system is really buggy today. Here are the directions. I also wanted to tell you that we would have been in Monroe, but we took a much needed long weekend. You aren't that far from us, huh? If you just take 81 into McDonough. I can send directions for you that might be easier. But this is from 75:
Date: Saturday 12/3
Time: 1:30pm
Place: Henry County Administration building. Here are directions:
From I-75, take exit #218 and travel east (take a left if you are heading South; take a right if you are heading North).Turn right onto Old Industrial
Blvd (McDonalds is on the corner). At the yield sign, turn right onto
Industrial Blvd. After you pass the Fire Station (on the left), turn left onto Henry Parkway. The Administration Building is the 2nd building on the right. We will have someone letting you into the building and letting you know where to go.
YOu know, I thought about that. I'm not sure. I was thinking the older kids would do fine with it, but the little ones won't really get the concept of someone "taking" their gift. So, if you want your child to participate, then maybe have them bring a gift (still maybe a holiday themed toy or something). I thought for the smaller kids, we will just give them a gift bag and let them make cookies (the older kids too). But, if you think your child can do the gift swap, then by all means, include them. I don't think my 3 year old will get it though. What do you think?
I'm so glad you are planning on being there!
