It depends on your surgeon. According to the paperwork from my surgeon I was able to go to full liquids after 2-5 days and started them at day 3 or 4. I was able to advance to milk, thin mashed potatoes, thin grits, sf yogurt, protein shakes, sf pudding, applesauce, scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, and bananas. I waited until after my two week follow up to start pureed foods. Susan

I just had my surgery on the 9th so I am not far behind you and I started some full liquids three days out which were thin mashed potatoes. I have tried the sf pudding and some cream soup but I am still a little leary about going too far too soon. I can tell you to listen to your stomach it will tell wether or not it will like what you are putting in. I have yet to dump or get sick but some of the things I have tried just don't feel right so just try full when you feel ready just don't jump in head first! I would also try adding the chicken broth to your mashed potatoes it helps give them more flavor and protein and keeps them thin enough. Hope this helps!
