State of GA employees

Anyone else found out that this wls is no longer covered?

Yes, I think their last day of coverage was either the last day of june or the last day of july this year. You should have seen all the BCBS GA patients lined up those last few days trying to get their surgeries before the deadline. It was mass chaos. I don't know what has happened about appealing it yet, but I have heard that they are going to totally stop covering it for a while and then implement a new system for getting it approved. At least that was discussed at one of the semianrs I went to. Hope that helps. Valarie

Thanks Valarie I hope they start covering it again !!! I know my Doc. was too backed up to get me in before my coverage ran out (he is the only Dr. that goes it here in Athens). So hopefually they will start covering it again.... Thanks again Kristin
