New to GA: Need Support Group, PCP, Surgeon
Hey Friends...
As some of you know, I am new to GA (Atlanta area). So far I am loving it here...and cannot wait to close on my house in 3 weeks! WOOO HOOO....
As I start getting settled in, I am in need of a few things that perhaps you all can help me with:
1) A Support Group. I am in Smryna/Mableton area...
2) PCP...I am looking for a Bariatric friendly PCP...preferably a female
3) Gyno....while I am asking, does anyone have recommendations for a FEMALE gyno
4) Surgeon...my surgeon referenced Dr. Champion to do my follow ups...does anyone suggest their surgeon?
While I am on the topic for asking...if anyone knows of a great hairdresser near me that would be awesome...and hey, if you have a great single male friend...I will take that too...LOL....
Take care and hope to get to know you all more....
Ann
Hello Ann,
I may can help with a few of those since i work in the smyrna area..
I use Dr. Khanna as my pcp, she's a female , and she is bariatric friendly, also the Dr. that is in with her is great i hear, ( also a female) there phone # is 770-739-6071, the gyno i use is also a female, but she is in lithia springs, but i will swear by there practice, it is all female doctors, i use Lew Ann, she is like a physicians assistant, but she is Wonderful! But if you prefer a real doctor, use DR. S. her last name is weird and i dpn't know how to spell it so everyone just calls her Dr. S. there # is 770-941-8662. maybe these will help you some, and as far as the hairdresser goes, i get my hair done in Dallas, and that maybe too far for you to go..
anyways, maybe these will help! and welcome to GA!
Tammy
Ann, I can agree with . Tammy I also am a patient of Dr. Khanna. I have been seeing her since the first of the year. However if you are looking for someone to joke around with she is not the lady. She gets to the point and gets things done. She does not even have her nurses do a blood pressure she does them her self. She help me so much this year . I owe alot to her and her staff. Sorry I don't know anything else since my surgeon is in Atl. I hope this info helps. ...Beth
