well I saw Dr Scarborough for my six month visit. I went from 259 lbs the day of surgery to 195 lbs. thats 64 lbs gone forever. I was at my highest weight last christmas at 280 lbs . so my total weightloss was 85 lbs. I feel great and can eat anything I want so far. Although I still dont eat much. I take maybe two or three bites and Im done. ( when have you been able to do that before) I use the treadmill at least 4 times a week. AND OMG...............I bought size 14 the other day............although most everything i have is 16 to 18. Im very pleased with the reesults of my surgery and would do it again. yes its a hard thing to go through..but so worth the results for me. my sister (who had this surgery also) informed me that 60% of us who have this surgery will gain the weight back. well I for one will NEVER BE THAT WEIGHT AGAIN!!!! and I want to thank everyone here for their support and thoughts along the way. this has been a great journey for me and cant wait till my year aniversery so I can see where I am then. God Bless you all Patty

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I kow how exciting it is to watch the scale move and to buy smaller and smaller clothes!!!! You are an inspiration to those of us who are behind you and a reminder to those that are further out where we all came from. I can personally say, I am proud of your progress and keep up the good work! Stay blessed! Valarie

One thing that I have realized that the 60% that gain back are the ones that didn't go into this surgury already commited to you agree. I'm two years almost anyway and I be damned if I gain back especially with everthing tha happened to me after my surgery almost dying. I think those who go into the surgery commited to this tool that we aew the ones that has success. Well keep it up and remember commitment................................
