I didn't make it
I'm really sorry I didn't make it on Sat.... but something happened at home that I couldn't leave ... and at this point I don't even want to share what happened because I'm embaressed about it, and I hope it will never happen again since it was never an issue before in 11 years that I've been with my husband.....Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that me and my son really wanted to come but couldn't.....
On the bright note...I'm over that nasty chest cold I've had for weeks and hopefully will be able to restart my exercise routine that I just built up before...... and also I have a little WOW moment that I wanted to share: I was at Dillard's the yesterday as I REALLY running out of things to wear, and I was looking at things in Women's (plus) sizes..... there was a sales Lady that asked me if I needed help in finding things, and then she looked at me up and down and said :" Are you sure you need to be in Plus sizes?"
...I don't know if she says that to everyone that she tries to sell things to or if she was genuine, but it felt flattering.... I'm a 16 right now,so I still belong in Women's wing w. but I'm excited about 16 since I was 20-22 just 2.5 months ago....And I'm fairly tall... 5'7'', and always wear 2-4 in. hill....Anyway that was a little experience that picked me up emotionally yesterday....Although I ended up not buying anything...Since the problem with rapid weight loss is that you can't hold on to your clothes for long, so there is no point to buy expensive things that look good and wear well, and I didn't see anything that was cheap.
Boy, I was wordy today.....If you read to the end--- thank you..
Again, I missed not coming on Sat.
Hugs to all, Rita.

Thanks , Stephanie...
yeah, I read somewhere that you are going to be in Yurt somewhere...I really want to hear about your experience after you go....I had one of my best times in life associated with Yurt( it's a long story, but I was 19 and in the Middle of 10 day hike over the mountains in Northwest Asia)....So I'd love to recreate it sometimes maybe..
....So, have fun. and I hope to meet you in person and hear about your trip one of these days.
hugs, Rita

Well, my trip to the yurt isn't that romantic. There are two GA state parks that have yurts. One is Red Top Mountain, but they only have one. The other is Bobby Brown State Park (not that Bobby Brown...this is a WWII hero). Anyway, they have 5 on a lake set apart from the rest of the campers...it is really very nice...if you like that type of thing. We went last year in early November, and it was wonderful. I don't like to be too hot.
They have heaters and ceiling fans. They also have furniture that turns into beds. So, you have a place to sleep. It is kind of like a cabin, but not quite. We went for my mom's birthday last year, and we are trying to make it a tradition. She really enjoys camping, and this way, we can all be together comfortably and still camp. I'm really looking forward to it. Maybe one day, I'll stay in one in Asia.

Hey Rita! I'm sorry you couldn't make it! I was looking forward to meeting you! We'll hook up at the next one!! I hope all is well now....
WAY TO GO Miss Size 16!! What a GRAND accomplishment!! Didn't that ROCK having the salesperson ask you that?? I had asked a lady at Belks where the plus sizes were and after she pointed them out, she says...Not for you are they?? I said yes..and she said she just didn't think I needed plus sizes... I TOLD HER I LOVED HER!! LOL!!
Well, I really don't understand ANYONE being "WORDY".... I'm sure if you ever read MY posts, you'll see I'm quite succinct and RIGHT TO THE POINT!! WHATEVER!!! NOT.
You word on girl...we'll read every one of em!!
Take care and see you soon!
Tami

Tami, Tami, Tami.... you always make me laugh...
And thank you for your word of support...
As for yurt...originally, I believe.... it's a form of a...wel... temporary housing used by Native in Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kirgyztan and other parts of Northern Asia by Shepards who year around travelled with their catle through the mountains...It's made of.....thick wool..(I'm sure there is a very specific terminology for all of it that I'm unable to translate.... and my dictionary is way too far from where I'm now and I already worked out today...lol)..Anyway... it's a huge Round tent that is erected directly on the ground, and thick wool carpets are used as floor...I believe it even had windows made of cow's intestine's lining.... if I remeber it right.... and Please don't think I'm perverted.....or ever quote me on that one..
) As for what it's here on Lake Alatoona, I don't know.....I'd guess it's round... ....Ask Stephanie..
And I do hope to see you one of these gatherings.. take care, hugs, Rita.
P.S.
And I'm still in shock that I fit in size 16 jeans... different brands REGULAR 16..... snug, very-very snug, but I was able to close zippers in each and every one of them...YEAH!!!!....My life at home sucks so much right now... but that 16 size fact in and of itself makes me sit here with a stupidest smile on my face...it makes me much happier than I should be if I only went by what's going on at my home now...
