Hello all, 'lil envious here
I've posted before, but not often and seeing all your wonderful posts about your get together makes me with I could get to a puter more often. A lil envious with your friendships. I am not to good with making friends, have such anxiety and I though the surgery would make it better, but it did not. Kind a made it worse. I'll take any advise you all have about coping with it, so maybe eventually, I can be your friend too and come to a get together. Maybe the internet should be my first step,
Reese
Ms. Nat I would LOVE to know you're coming to this month's gathering!!! I hope you do - I can promise you will have a fantastic time!!!
I'll tell you one thing - as shy as you may be - I'm outgoing enough for all of you. I'm great at bringing people out of their shell.....ask any one!
I look forward to meeting you!

Check out the very first item on this board. We are meeting at Joe's Crab Shack in Duluth on the 22nd. I forget the time - but there are plans in the works for the group to go to Wild Bill's for a bit of "partying" afterwards!
ALL ARE WELCOME!!! THE MORE THE MERRIER!!
I look forward to meeting new faces every month... Trust me there's NO WAY anyone will NOT know who I am by the end of the evening!

Therese,
I will tell you that yes we do have some great friendships on this board but the great thing about this board is that we are truly the MOST welcoming people in the world. We always welcome a new face and would LOVE to see your smiling face at one of our monthly gatherings.
Trust me - this group KNOWS from where you're coming and will only be the most supportive and caring group of people you'll want to hang with!
When you're comfortable stepping out to meet us we'll be there with open arms to welcome you!

Hi, Reese,
Come play!!! You are VERY welcome! I am not shy, but tend to be a loner...when I'm sad, etc. Surgery didn't change that (pooh), but it did bring me to this great group of folks. What I love most about this place is the acceptance I have always felt here. You can be yourself, and that's absolutely enough!
I was nervous about the first get together too, but when you see the familiar faces and smiles, you feel more comfortable immediately. I'm so glad you are on the board, and hope you will make the get togethers as well.
Hugs,
Becky
Hi all, my name is Stephanie and I recently moved to Atlanta from Greenville, SC in which I had my surgery. I'm 7 weeks post op, I also would love to meet and greet!!! Since my surgery, I have not been to any support group meetings in which I'm desparately needing to attend. I need the support from others who are walking the same path as me. My friends and family are sick and tired of me telling them about me throwing up and having serious gas!!! LOL....I know all of you can relate and I want to hear your stories as well. Please give me the details of the meet and greet and I will be there! Sorry I don't have a page on here, but I'm working on pics to post because most of mine, I'm looking a hott greasy mess!!! Hahaha
Take care,
Stephanie
