Any news on Sandra?

I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything on Sandra Botts yet? It may be too soon still but she has been on my mind and in my prayers all day. thanks, Barb

Barb, I talked to Sandra at 11 a.m. and she was still waiting to go back, she said the IV was hurting her due to her vains rolling, and she had taken a valium. As of 3 p.m. Boyce said that they had just taken her back, I was like OMG....I'm going to call again later to check on her. Hugs, Melissa

Barb and Melissa, Please forgive me for not posting sooner. At around 1pm Sandra was in the holding area and was taken back. I saw Boyce around 1:30 and Sandra's dad and they said she had been taken back then. I meant to post this two hrs ago but came home with a killer tooth ache and took some pain meds and dozed off. Any one else heard from her family? Boyce is real sweet and i will keep her and her family in my prayers.

Yeah Barb i know what you mean she left out two hrs before me this morning and i had so hoped she would be on the other side by the time i got my nutritional consult completed but you know how hospitals are. Waiting is tough and i just hope she got through it with smooth sailing. LOL thanks for the kind words about the tooth it is battling with the ulcer the helidac is working on but hopefully in 9 days both problems will be gone.

Hi, Barb, I just spoke with Boyce. Sandra is in recovery. There were several emergency surgeries (four from Grady and not solely WLS) that delayed Sandra's operation until 4:00. Boyce said she was out of it since about 1:00. Thank you, Lord!!! The Braves game has kept Boyce sane! Sandra's tissue was paper-thin, so they left a tube in. She will not have the leak test tomorrow. They are hoping that she will go home day after tomorrow, and return next week to have the tube removed. I know Melissa will know more. Let's keep our girl in our prayers, Boyce too! Love, Becky

Thanks Becky for the update. So relieved she made it out and in recovery now. Melissa keep me posted if you talk to her on how she is doing and tell her we are all thinking of her. sandy
