Allergy shots

Can we take allergy shots after RNY? I have sinuses from h*ll and am on allergra, but was going to see if I could possibly do the series of shots to see if that would help as I am told it would 90%, if not, after I have RNY in OCT. and recover, I'll have to go in to have windows put in my sinuses. Girl, I have been taking allergy shots for 5 months now. Let me tell ya....it has changed my life! I have ALWAYS (since a teeny girl) been DEATHLY allergic to cats/dogs. I don't get sneezy or anything like that...my bronchial tubes shut and I cannot breathe. About 3 yrs ago, I got around just a little cat dander and it afforded me a trip to the hospital by ambulance, because my lungs shut down before I could even get to the car to drive to the hospital. The doc told me after 4 months I should see some improvement. My main focus was to be able to visit Joe, who has 2 cats that he's had for about 11 years, and they are his children! Well, about 3 wks ago, I went to his house for only the 2nd time since we've been dating (almost 8 mos.) and we went out and got back REALLY late ...so I thought I would see how I did by staying. I told him if I was gone when he woke up, not to be offended, it's just I had to go cuz I couldn't breathe. Well...after some snooze time, I opened my eyes and IT WAS DAYLIGHT!!!!!! I had made it and was breathing FINE!!! (A little stuffed up, but I can deal with that!) I never dreamed I'd be able to do that. I figured maybe I would be able to visit for a little while, but not stay over! I have stayed over twice now...no problem!! WOOOOO HOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok...long story I know, but what a WONDERFUL thing...between losing all the weight, having lasik to ditch glasses that have been worn since 4th grade, and now being about to be around animals for the first time since birth, I don't even recognize myself anymore!!!!!! I hope the shots work as wonderfully for you as they do me!!!!!!!!!!!
