Possibly starting Support Group in Stockbridge

O.K. guys I'm thinking about starting a support group in Stockbridge at Henry Medical Center. What do you guys think? This would help those of us in Henry and Spalding counties. I know Karen has a group in Jonesboro, and I'm not sure how many folks in this area are traveling to that group. I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in a group here? Let me know...if I have several people interested, then I'll see what we can do. Also, if you are interested, please let me know what would work best for you...evenings or weekend? Thanks guys!

Stephanie, I think this is a great idea. I am pretty flexible until tax season and then early Sat. are out for me. I went to the group in Jonesboro for the first time Sat. and it was a small group, not sure just how far away people traveled, I know one lady came from PTC. It was a very informative meeting. Found out those of us who have had WLS are virtually un insurable now!! IF you have health insurance KEEP IT! If you want to up your life insurance you are probably out of luck! My husband is laid off and was contiplating starting his own business but not now - cause we have to get group health coverage from his work, mine is poop! Let me know when you want to have the support goup meeting I will surely be there. je

Hi Stephanie, I would be interested in a support group at Henry Medical Center. I have only been to one meeting (preop at AMC) so I would like to have the option of going to a meeting without travelling far.

I live in Nicholson. (a few miles from Commerce & Athens) I am looking for a local support group. I love the one in Gainesville, with gas prices sky-rocketing I thought I would try to find a closer support group. I really am interested, if anyone knows of something going on in or near the Athens area PLEASE let me know. I am just a month out (today) and I NEED support!! Thank you so much!! Tonya
