I've reached a milestone today.
Hey guys!
Just wanted to update you on my journey. Today I've reached 220.... the reason it mattered to me is because 220 lb.=100 kilos, and I think in kilos still (when I moved to USA I was 24).... and in my former life I pretty much didn't personally know too many people who were over 100 kilos (except maybe very few tall men that I never compared myself to)... anyway, it was my first small goal... even though it's only 35 lb lost in almost 7 weeks, it made a difference. I feel great most of the time, no big problems. I'm doing well on protein , and not so well on water intake. The thing I'm very happy about is that I exercise almost every day, or atleast 5 days per week... cardio mostly, no weights yet (even though my Dr. cleared me for weights last week), but I walk 4 miles in about one hour 3-4 days /week, and doo water aerobics x 2/week... I'm not certain as to how much it actually contributes to weight loss, but it makes me feel good.... primarely the fact that I can do it...
)
Overall I'm so happy I had this surgey....
best wishes to you all , and I hope to see you all in October in Duluth, love , Rita.

Michelle, Kim hi there....
thanks for your encouragement.
You know I've NEVER been good on work-outs, but somehow now I look forward to it....I found a grait trail... almost flat,paved, but in a the woods away from traffic, and not too many bikers, joggers. I walk with my hubby and baby in a stroller. I feel that all 3 of us are benefiting from it...And even though by the end of the walk I look flashed and sweaty, it gives tremendous satisfaction. I do enjoy it now...I'm planning on starting to carry2lb. weights with me in each hand next time.
I'm sure if you set your mind on it you can do it too. It's worth it... And Water Aerobics is just fun.... and it's not that hard... and it's affordable and convinient at the Community Pool.
How are you, girls, doing? What are you up to lately? are back to work? how are you adjusting with eating and cooking for the family? keep me posted, love, Rita
