Hi Shelly A colonic is an enema. You could go to any drug store and buy a fleets as a first attempt. You can spend alot of money on what is caled a high colonic. Some spas offer these (I think) But I think if it were me, I would start off by getting some stool softners like Surfak or Colace. My surgeon says these are ok. If taking those 2-3 times a day didn't work, then I would try taking a mild laxative. If that still didn't work, I would next try magnesium citrate.. That would clean out a horse if needed. Just stay near the bathroom for that. For me, and enema would be a last choice... just because I absolutely hate them. Make sure to up your fluids as much as possible, and I know some people who take stool softners daily just to keep from getting so constipated. Hope some of this helps... and good luck at getting un-stopped up. Hugs, Susan
