Protein Shakes...meal? or snack?
I finally found a protein shake that I can tolerate. But my question is:
Do the shakes count as a meal, snack or just liquid? I drink them for the liquid so I can get the protein in. Am I doing this wrong? My weightloss has stalled out again since I have been able to tolerate more food. I also havent been able to walk much lately b/c I got a sick child at home. Hoping to go for a walk this morning.

Hi, Kimberly...so, what did you find? I think whether you use it for a meal or a snack depends on the calories. I drink mine (when I drink it) as a liquid. I drink Isopure. so, it doesn't really fill me up. The thicker shakes fill me up a bit. I'm eating a lot of high protein food. So, I'm averaging around 50-60g a day.
My weight loss has stalled too. I think I'm starting to lose a bit again, but after 2weeks, it just kind of stopped. I know it will start back. Shoot, I think I'm only getting like 500-600 calories in a day. I HAVE to lose weight!
I did get back to the gym last week...it felt good to get back in the pool. I'm hoping to go twice this week. I have been terrible with exercise.

Well, I was told on here to count it as a meal or snack. But I still do not know about it. I think the further we get along, then it should be counted as that. But right now I am counting it as liquid. I think I am averaging around 600 calories a day. To be honest, I havent been really counting calories. I have been eating what I can tolerate which is very limited.
I tried the Isopure but they taste so nasty to me. I can drink the EAS Advant Low Carb Shakes. I abosolutely love them. They are 11oz and carry 15g of protein. Its not that thick either so it goes down very well. I also tried the SlimFast Low Carb but it was gross to me. Way too thick.
Just curious, how many oz's do you eat at a meal time? I do not think I am eating enough at meals. I always feel hungry afterwards.
