feeling stressed ... help need input

Hello all ... I know its been like forever since I posted, but I need help. Life is so busy 18 months out and I am feeling super stressed and angry alot, my husband says its like my way or the highway. Went to the dr today and he wanted to put me on some meds .. this I have never had to do before in my life take a med to cope. **** not knocking anyone who does *** I see I need help *** I am so unfamilure with the drugs and especially with having the surgery, I know some make you want to eat. Here is my question .... through email or post. Please of you will let me know what you take and why you like this drug. Thanks for your input, Sheila ... -120lb

Greta, are we talking anit-depresants and anit-anxiety drugs? I can tell you that Paxil is most often prescribed for panic attacks and anxiety and also for depression. Zolof more for anxiety and depression. There are two type of these drugs some that increase saratonin (chemical in the brain) and some that decrease it. I can tell you that most people on Paxil and Zolof loose weight and have some sexual disfunction. You can look up info on these drugs on the internet. My son has aspergers syndrome (on the autism spectrum - but very high functioning) and is almost not functional without zolof. For the people *****ally need these drugs they are a lifesaver. Note: Welbutrin is another drug sometimes given by itself or with another one of the drugs above it can help with the side effects of the Paxil and Zolof. Do your homework but do not be afraid to try these drugs, I have seen what a difference they can make for some people. I hope this helps. Judye

HI! Feeling Stressed Sheila! I been on Zolof for about 4 years now. It helps control my pain. I have fibromalygia. Don't stress over taking an anti-depressant . Try the drug & see if it helps with your issues; hopefully, it will. I am very grateful for the zoloft which is like paxtil it helps control my pain as well as keeping me focus as well as improving my mood swings. My kids stated that I improved in disposition alot better since I started taking the meds. The doctors are finding out the most of us experience signals misfiring in our brain and have discovered these drugs help not hurt us. I hope my comments make you feel better.
