I think I'm spiraling out of control....Need help.
Deb...I'm gonna listen to my own advice while I share with you....
Take stock of how many carbs you are eating vs. how much protein you are getting. If it's out of whack, get that protein back up.
Are you drinking your water?? That's HUGE...and yes ,the exercise is very important.
Here's to BOTH of us!!
Tami
Ok.. I think what I am gonna do is start making myself accountable to this board.
The main board has a daily "what did you eat today" board. If I start that up and have to fess up about what I ate each day, that should help me get back on track.
I CANNOT WILL NOT give up the success I have had thus far!!
sounds like a da*n good idea to me.....I feel like I'm still 350 lbs and ame never going to get the last bit of the weight off.....
I go back to my doctor on the 5th and am afraid he's going to look at me and tell me I've failed miserably cause I've yet again stopped drinking water and protein!!!
(Not to mention the work out queen has taken some time off from going to the gym.....but my body needed a break!)
Help me hold myself accountable!!!!

Tami,
I have been mostly lurking, as I have been really busy, but I felt so compelled to respond to you. This is the really ugly part of our surgery. The weight loss slows down, and we are back to living day by day. This surgery does not fix our addictions to food, it just hid it for awhile.
I struggle daily with this, you can only take this day by day. The most important thing that I can tell you , is that you need to start each day with a sense of hope, that today you will eat right, and win this battle. You need to realize that yes, this really is a battle, and some days you will win, while other days you lose. You are going to have days where you graze. What you need to do is surround yourself with the foods that aren't quite so bad. For instance sometimes, I need to cruch. Instead of buying regualar chips, I buy the Light brand, they come in Doritos, Lays,Ruffles, Tostitos, and they are only 70 cal a serving. Have hard boiled eggs in your frig, along with cheese and deli meats. I love those little carrots with ranch dressing. If you have a sweet attack, go back to buying the sugar free fudgecicles. I have stopped buying cookies for the kids, they don't really miss them, and I ended up eating them.
I could tell you that you will get control of this, but to be honest, I still don't have control. But I still have hope, and please don't lose yours. You are gonna need it.
Cathy
