OT - Graceful Me!!
Well, I keep telling everyone that my name (Ann) means Graceful, but that doesn't mean I'm aptly named!!
Saturday, I went to a banquet with my hubby. I got all dressed up - really pretty dress, heels (!!), makeup. Everyone said I looked GREAT (and I felt great, too).
Afterwards, I was walking out to the car across the ground and stepped in a hole. It wasn't very deep, but enough that I fell. I bent my leg with my heel all the way to my behind (it really didn't like that!!), and landed sitting down. After a few minutes, I had my hubby help me up and I made it home. I put ice on my knee (the bad one, of course!!), and my ankle. After a little while, I went to bed.
Sunday morning, it was all I could do to crawl to the bathroom. The back of my thigh hurt SO bad I could barely move!! I stayed in bed all day. Monday, I went to the doctor, who said I'd herniated a disk in my back and it was pinching the siatic nerve. Okay. Whatever. He gave me a couple of rxs and a note to stay out of work Monday & Tuesday.
I'm back at work today, but still walking a little "funny." It hurts, but not as much and I don't feel like my leg will give out on me. Boy - like I said - "graceful me" lol
Don't know if I'll make it on Saturday now. I've got some other things to do in the morning and afternoon, and may just want to go home after and rest.
Of course, it could have been a lot worse - I could have done it where a whole bunch of people SAW me fall!!
Ann in Duluth
Awwww.... Ann... You poor thing. I can definitely sympathize with you. Back in the spring I fell off of some one inch heels, and they weren't even pointy heels. I hope that you will feel like coming on to Macon. We promise not to make you dance or anything. I know it has been difficult for you to make it to some of the recent gatherings, and we would love to see you in Macon.
Hope you get to feeling better soon!!!!!
Hugs,
Susan
