MY HAIR
I started taking Biotin as soon as I came home from the hospital. It helped me quite a bit. I shudder to think what would have happened to me had I not had the Biotin. I still lost a good amount of hair though. However, it does grow back, and it was my own personal opinion that the hair loss was well worth the 103 lbs that I have lost so far. It is growing back now, and I have a zillion short little hairs growin back in that are fluffy and goin every direction except the direction I want them to go. It is quite comical to me to stand in front of the bathroom mirror and brush and brush, and those little buggars still go where they want. I get to feeling kinda like Whoopee Goldberg when she is trying to get her dreads to behave and they don't want to.
Just remember it is temporary, it will come back. And like I said... what a small price to pay...
Hugs,
Susan
Tammy, I had the same problem. Biotin, Nioxin, Zinc, nothing worked for me. And I was getting in tons of protein. Zip. My once-thick hair got extremely thin. Finally I found something that works for me. If you get desparate, give it a try. It's called Curetage. Check it out at www.curetage.com. It's an all natural collection of products that deep-clean your hair and scalp, and then stimulate the growth of new hair. I've been using it about 6 weeks now and I actually have quite a bit of new-growth hair. It's not cheap, but it sure works (and has worked for another friend of mine as well, who told me about it initially). Good luck to you!

Hey Tammy! I've been taking biotin as well. The kind I take I got at Wal-Mart, but they also sell it at GNC as well. I just chew it up with my calcium pill. So far, so good, but I am only 3mths. out. When did your hair loss start happening? Where did you find the nioxin? How much was it? I am totally freaked out by the thought of losing my hair and am willing to try anything!! Hope you are doing well otherwise. Rachel S.
