Latest on my dad

Just wanted to update everyone as you've been asking and I truly appreciate your support. My dad's biopsy from surgery came back today, he's got cancer again. They are unsure what stage, what treatments and really how large it is at this point. He's still got an open wound so radiation will be out for sometime. They are going to be releasing him to come home tomorrow. They feel he's ok to travel now and they want him to get to Georgia and right into the surgeon down here. It sounds as through they will have to re-open him again possibly to remove it. He's very upset as I'm sure you can imagine and doesn't understand why they didn't get it while in there this time. I will keep you all updated on what's happening next. I'm trying to stay strong in the midst of all of this, but it's been very hard. I know I need to for my mom. Amy

Amy, please know that my thoughts are with you and your father. It is doubly hard to deal with health issue with our parents, rather than our own. You have been incredibly strong through many things, and you will handle this one with your usual grace. Barb in S. GA

Amy, Sorry to hear about your dad's unfortunate news. I know that surgery is hard on his body. I wish him a safe and speedy recovery. Don't forget to stay healthy yourself!!! It's easy to not take care of yourself in situations like this-so keep up the healthy eating and take a short walk Big hugs! Sherry

Oh my dear Amy..... I am so sick to hear about your dad... I know how difficult this is for you, as you will remember I went through some scares myself at the beginning of the year.
