How lucky we are...

I just wanted to remind us all how lucky we are that we have each other. My support group last week was talking about how there are drs. out there who perform wls and do not inform their patients on how to be healthy. They don't prepare them mentally for the challenges they will face, and they tell them it's ok to eat things like pure-carb meals and even juice ! These poor people struggle miserably through their journey wondering why they are so tired and hungry or and why they feel so alone . Some don't even have a support group or even know about this and other sites. I know that all of us have questions about our weight loss and energy and quality of life after surgery. Isn't it good to know we have each other?

You are so right. I am so glad that I did find a support group as well as this site. I was able to get the good, bad, and the ugly information about WLS. If i didn't hear what others have gone through or find a good doctor, than I might not have ever tried to have surgery. Everybody needs support from somebody, in everything you are going through. Some of us get it through our families and some us the support groups are our families. Thank you for sharing that with everyone today. I hope you have a blessed day. Ken
