Just wanted to pass along the following bit of news to you regarding my cousin, her husband, and Aunt. I think that it was Wednesday or Thursday, they went back to Biloxi to check on their homes. They did take with them lots of supplies (food, water, a generator, etc. Initial damage assessment on my cousin and her husband's house: some shingles missing, some roof damage...therefore, some water damage, but nothing very major. On my Aunt's house, the chimney got blown off...therefore a lot more water damage, carpet will need to be replaced, etc. But both homes are quite liveable, considering the devastation that hit Biloxi. I had been trying to call my cousin all day off and on for the past two days...constant busy, or 'all circuits are busy now, please try your call later'. Well tonight, on my way home from my parents, I tried again...call went right through the first time. My cousin told me that about 15 minutes earlier that they had just gotten their power back. She told me that yesterday, she had washed clothes. The water is still undrinkable, but at least it might be good enough to wash clothes in, and she hung the clothes outside to dry out. My cousin also mentioned that their builder had been by, to check to see how they were doing, and she told him about the various damage issues; he said 'I will put you on the list, and when I am back up and running the business, these issues will be taken care of '. Needless to say, after that phone call, I did call my parents to let them know their status, and how things were progressing. When I got home, I called two of my aunts, to let them know also. God is so good!! Norma

Norma, I'm so glad to hear that everyone is safe, and they are back at home. That must be a relief for them. It sounds like they have a long road to travel.

Norma, thank you so much for sharing the update. Most of the news is so over-whelming that I can't take it all in. How encouraging to know there are people out there who are able to pick up the pieces and go on with their life. You are right, God is so good, and a story like this is a reminder to us that in His will there will be a Way. Barb in S. GA
