Family Support, need advice

Ok, my packet was sent insurance a week ago, I called them Friday and they said that from everything that they can see in the computer it looks like it may be a "yes" for approval, but I'm going to call back Tuesday to make sure. I thought all this time my mother in law supported my decision so I've been keeping her updated on things when they happen, well I found out yesterday thar she doesn't want me to have this surgery, so I told her that if I couldn't get the support I needed from her that I DID NOT want her at the hospital. I also told DH today that from here on out she will not know when I get approved, when my pre-op appointment is nor my surgery date, am I wrong in thinking this way? Hugs, Melissa
