Swimming...

O.K. you guys...I know you remember. How long after surgery before we can go swimming? We are going to my friend's house tomorrow, and really would like to swim. I think I remember Dr. Duncan telling someone they could get in a hottub after 10 days. I tried to call them Friday, but I didn't get through. And, I'm sure that question would have been top priority. Thanks everyone!

I wasn't allowed to submerge longer then it took to take a shower for like 2 weeks. The reason is if you stay wet for prolonged periods, your new scars will re-open and take longer to heal or get infected. Kia 5'9" 284/188/155

Thank you...I'll be 12 days post-op on Monday...I might just take a couple of dips tomorrow but not stay in the water.
