Hiking Question- North Georgia
Has anyone here ever attempted to the Len Foote Hike Inn near Amicola Falls? I am dying to do this, but not sure I could handle the five mile hike there, and the five mile hike back. Trying to talk Jake into doing this with me, and he is considering it, but I am not sure he would enjoy this at all.
They also let you hike to the Inn, and then spend the night and hike back. Just wondering if any of you have ever tried this, and how hard of a hike is it?
Am I just crazy thinking I can do this?

It's pretty hard, i know i couldn't do it. Friends of mine have done it, but they were in a lot better physical shape than me. I'll tell ya something else you can try that is still a work out, hard, yet, you should be completely capable, Kayak down Broad River. it's near the location you are talking about , in the town i live in, about 30 miles south of Toccoa. It's thrilling, it takes about 4 hours, and i think you are VERY capable.. But... if you are determined, i still think you can pull off the hike, go slow take your time, and you can do anything you set your mind to.- Lee Lee
Oh, Maureen...I'm so jealous! You have to let me know how it is. Have you been walking and hiking in other places? If so, I'm sure you can handle it. I have wanted to do this for years! Of course, we couldn't. I can't wait until Derrick and I can go there together! We'll get there...sooner than we think. Shoot...he is already there.
I think you can do it....please take lots of pictures to share with all of us. You are such an inspiration!!!
