Is Everyone OK??
We're ok here... A tornado touched down about 3-4 miles away from my house. I am enclosing a link to a picture that was taken from the Walmart parking lot about 1/2 mile away from my house. Just on the other side of I-475. The direction of the picture is right over my neighborhood. But in actuality, the tonado shown is probably about 3-4 miles away as a crow flies.

you can see the tornado, even though it was getting pretty dark. We listened to the tornado sirens for about 2 hours...

So far so good - I live right around the warning area for Banks County & our area was suprisingly calm. I've seen it get a lot nastier during storms than it got around here today. I was more concerned when my daughter and I were on our way home and we heard the warnings getting closer - first Barrow then Jackson then Banks - once we got home, I was calmer.

We did o.k. here. I'm not sure of the damage. We had warnings around 7pm last night, but it wasn't that bad here at our house. I'm glad everyone seems to be well. I'm praying for everyone that was in Katrina's path. It seems pretty windy out there right now.
Our cat woke me up at 4am meowing about something. Actually, I think we forgot to feed him last night. Oops...He has now been fed maybe he is happier now and I can go back to bed.

Tami,
We're ok here as well, although about 20 miles from here in carroll country they were hit pretty hard. My mother in laws step nephew lost all his chickens/houses, and my sister's hubby's 1st cousins house was tore up pretty bad along with other homes there. We(presleigh and I) stayed at the in-laws down the street.
Hugs,
Melissa
