Christmas Get Together?

Hey, everyone. The post about the November get together made me think....I was wondering what you guys do for Christmas? I think someone mentioned the October get together. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas for something with a Christmas theme. I know everyone is busy, and it is hard to get together, but maybe we can think of something. I wish we had a big house...we could have a huge party. Maybe we could fix up the garage, and everyone could bring something. Like an old fashion pot luck! How fun would that be to taste everyone's favorite Bari-Recipes. Can you guys tell I'm bored...and it is only Monday!!!! I have a week and 1/2 before I go back to work! I better find something to occupy my time.

I haven't seen anything on November - but I know October is in Gwinett hosted by Tami (Modean Ryan) Last year we met at a masnos hall and brought a Pot Luck. I thought it was a BLAST. I know we did a gift exchange as well....we limited that to under $10.00 each. Just throwing some ideas out there..... if I knew someplace we could go I'd suggest it - but I"m brain dead worried about the storm right now.... Dee Dee

If you find anything out, let me know, OK? I imagine Christmas is a bit rough your first time out of post-op.

Anyone want to volunteer to help me for December? I'll see if I can find a place if not my house. My house isn't that big, but I wouldn't mind. Y'all would have to come to McDonough. Or, we could all pitch in on a banquet room somewhere and still do potluck. If anyone has any ideas. Or, if I have stepped on any toes, please let me know. I may have bit off more than I could chew.

Stephanie: I am glad that you had your surgery and I hope that all is well with you. I guess the clothes I have gathered will not work for you now since you are on the loosing side with us. Anyway about X-mas, since I live in Smyrna, I don't mind helping with your plan to do it at your home. I could help by coming down early or with with any ideas. I just want to suggest to try to plan it the first weekend of December if possible since that month is busy with other parties. Just let me know what you decide and I will be glad to help out. My e-mail is gamaryraf@aol, so e-mail me and I will give my numbers so you can phone me. Take care of yourself and hopefully I will be able to see yall in October. Mary

Thanks, Mary. I'll let you know. I'm going to scope out some ideas. I don't think I will be able to afford to rent a place by myself. But, everyone is welcome here. And, that is a good idea about the first weekend in December. I don't know about those clothes. You are losing too....You can still give me your hand-me-downs. How much have you lost? Thank you, Steph

Stephanie that sounds liek a great idea. We did enjoy the Christmas pot-luck and gift exchange last year. Kay rented the VFW lounge. We had sooooo much food....delcious food!! I wish I lived closer to you to help plan it...maybe our good friend SHyra the Supah-Stah would be able to help. SHe lives up that way...if nothing else maybe recommended some type of hall or something. I look forward to hearing more about the Christmas get-together. I recommend the gift exchange. That was real fun! Hugs, Tonya
