Kimberly, I would plan on taking it at home. It started working in about 30 minutes the first day for me then in about 10 the second day. I'm not sure how often you have to take it....Doctors are different. I would say, just to be safe, plan on taking it after you get home. And, it is pretty nasty...What I did...Held my nose, gulped the shot then drank some white grape juice and swooshed it in my mouth to get rid of the taste while still holding my nose. The first day, I mixed it with a little apple juice....big mistake. I think doing it as a shot works the best. Good luck to you!!!

Hey Stephanie! How are you doing? Congrats again on your srugery! I took it this morning and it took about 30 minutes to start. Is the effects suppose to last all day long? I have to take it for 2 days as well. We are driving in to Atlanta tomorrow evening and I am not sure when I should take the next dosage. I do not want to be stuck in traffic or in a vehicle when it hits, ya know what I mean? lol Thanks.

I took it around noon both days. It seemed to taper off by the end of the day. I was able to sleep without waking up. I would say, if you took it in the morning, this afternoon might be o.k. for you. It is fun stuff, huh? I would think if you took it early, you would be o.k. in the evening. I'm excited for you. Post when you can or have someone post for you if you can. We will be praying for you. You will do great!!!! I'm doing good. The gas pressure is just about gone, and I'm doing well with whole liquids. I overdid it with some mashed potatoes yesterday. I won't do that again! I just need to take it slow. I feel really good though.

Hi Stephanie! If you get bored with the mashed potatoes(taste) make them with chicken or beef broth. I makes them a little better and not quite so bland. Tina N 289/164/150ish

Hiya Gretchen! It really depends on your surgeon about the phospha. My surgeon requires it 2 days and the day before. Let me tell ya, IT SUCKS! I can deal with the taste alot better than the afterwards! lol I was able to relax a little and take a nap. But don't you know as soon as I woke up, I had to run for it! I pray that you get to feeling better real soon. Most doctors will postpone surgery if you are sick. You may need to give them a call to make sure. Its better to be safe than sorry. Take care.

Hey sweet lady! Yes we are leaving tomorrow for the Manley House. I am really excited and nervous as you know what. Like I said about the phosho soda, its doable. But the afterwards is AWEFUL! lol Mine didnt seem to take long to kick in. I was able to relax a little this afternoon and take a small nap. But as soon as I got up, man it was over with! So I am trying to figure out the best time for me to do the next dosage. I might just end up doing it after we get to Atlanta. I dont know. I just want it to be OVER WITH! hehehe love ya!

Hi Kim Just wanted to wish you an uneventful surgery and speedy recovery. I'll say a prayer. You are in good hands. I'm two weeks out and don't even feel like I had surgery, except I'm not hungry Anyway, as they say, see you on the losing side!
