Update on Stephanie

We are home. She is very tired and very sore. She did very well. She just has a lot of air pressure in her chest and stomach area and her belly button wound is draining more than mine did. The dressing being packed in gives her a great deal of discomfort. She is laying down in bed right now, sleeping (finally). She literally has been awake since yesterday at 5 a.m. (with the exception of the surgery). She has just been so uncomfortable she can't sleep. So I'm glad she is getting some now. Anyway, keep us in your prayers.

Derrick, Thanks for the update. I am sorry she is having so much discomfort right now, and I hope she feels better soon. PLEASE let me know if there is anything I can do for you guys. I am just around the corner. Many hugs and prayers, Ginger

What time did she leave today?? I went down there around 1 and she was already gone.....that was fast!!! I am glad she is home and tell her I said to call when she needs to talk. Been thinking about y'all!! Shree Guess I should start CALLING before I go VISITING

Stephanie is in my prayers!!! You are too!!! Thank goodness she is sleeping. Have they given her medication for the pain? I hope, I hope!!! After the third day, I started feeling much better. Please give her our love, and hugs to you, Sweet Hubby!!! Sincerely, Becky

Derrick looks really pretty in his picture, huh? Thank you all for your well wishes. I'm feeling MUCH better today. I'm eating a popscicle...and my goal for today is to get in more fluids. I had a really hard time yesterday even drinking water. The pressure from the gas they use was the worst part. I still feel it a little bit, but it is almost gone. My bellybutton hurts and is draining, but that is better too. It was done laporascopically...so, I didn't expect as much pain as I had, but like I said, it is quickly going away, and I'm starting to feel like myself again. I can't wait until tomorrow and I can take a shower! I know I will feel much better then. They did give me something for pain while in the hospital, but the pressure was so intense, it wasn't really helping that much. I have some medicine to take here, and it helps a lot...makes me sleepy. Thank you all again for all of your support. And, thank you, Derrick for being such a wonderful and supportive husband and friend. I don't know what I would have done without you there.
