Rita, I still weigh everyday! I got better with it there for a while but I'm back at it everyday! In the beginning it used to dictate my moods but I've gotten a bit better about it. Now more for just maintenance purposes but I'm still there checking in fear that the scale will inch up on me. UGH! Never ending with that darn thing!LOL HUgs, Tonya

Rita... You are not alone, I am to a scale ho! I am on that thing 2 or 3 times a day.. its sick, and I have ALWAYS been like that.......I pee,...I jump on! lol! I think if we really just know that we are women, and the scale is a good tool for the big picture ........ and sometimes isnt accurate day to day.. then its just fine......

Hey Michelle... you are absolutely right.... the only reason I kinda question myself about this whole issue is because I WASN'T "LIKE THAT" before the sugery...No am I ever obssessive in general... What All of you gyus said helps... Helps to normalize my "addiction" and the way I feel about it. Love, Rita

hey rita its so nice to know im not alone in my addiction. i have weighed everyday since the day of my surgery and have it all wrote down. like in another post, i would have to hurt someone if they hid my scales. just to let you know what an a-holic i am, we went on vacation this past week to tampa fl and i was so obsessed that i took them with me and weighed everyday i was there. i made sure my husband put them somewhere safe in the truck so nothing would be laying on them. i dont think its such a big deal as long as you dont let it you get you down. my husband gets on to me all the time for doing it so often, but im hard headed i never listen. so give yourself a break! how much have you lost so far? candy

Well, Candy, I think you won this "contest" of Scale-holism.. And you are right, it's NOT or rather it shouldn't be a big deal... but so far I found myself affected by daily fluctuations(I'm a newbe at being post-op anyway)..I've lost 20 lb in 2 15 days since surgery... thanks for your reply. Best wishes, Rita

Rita, I'm a scale person to. I weigh every morning & 2 or 3 times through out the day. But I did get my husband to hide them from me & I'm now only allowed them on Sunday. I have looked & looked for them darn things & can't find them but that is a good thing, so try it get your hubby to hide them. I am 4 months post op & have lost 77lbs. I feel so much better. You are doing good, keep up the good work. HUGS, Tammy G.
