Back from Columbus GA.

My family and I just returned home from Columbus GA. DH and I joined in a mission to paint a church that is trying to build their church back up, up there. It was down to just a few older seniors and many MANY of them have died off. There were no youth or children. Two weeks ago, they had a VBS and gained some new people thru that. Today there were nearly 45 in attendance, when they've only been having 12-15. It was so exciting to share in this project. A couple of months ago when meeting with their outreach pastor, he asked my DH for his professional advice on painting the church and my DH offered to do it for them. We've been there since Friday. We will probably be returning again next weekend to finish up the project. Our daughter's enjoyed visiting friends in Phenix City, Al. Our older daughter's boyfriend lives there, so they were some very happy kids this weekend. We also got to spend a wonderful lunch after church with he and his family. We attended the church we worked on and our daughter went to church with her bf and his family in P.City. We had a great time in GA. It's very nice there and the Peachtree mall is awesome. I'm so sorry, I didn't have Kiwi's phone number with me so that we could catch up with her. Thanks for sharing ya'lls great state with us once again. Elle
